als het gaat regenen ben ik minder met gieters aan het slepen , en heb ik wat meer blogjestijd

Wat hebben we toch een mooie omgeving in de Betuwe...
Altijd indrukwekkend, die oude statige bomen van een piepklein plaatsje in de buurt en als je om je heen kijkt, niets dan groen.
Ik fiets hier graag op een vrije dag.

Op de onderste foto kan je goed zien hoe droog het momenteel is in de natuur. (het water in de vijver staat heel laag)

What a nice surrounding we have in the Betuwe region...
It always inpresses me to see those old stately trees of a tiny town in our area, when you look around, theres nothing else then green trees and plants.
I like to bicicle over here, when i am having a day off.

On the last picture you can see the drought nature is in at the moment. (the waterlevel in the pond is very low)

mooi/ beautiful

akelei en een lekker chaotische tuin/Aquilegia and a nice chaotic garden

dit zijn de twee soorten akelei die staan te pronken in de tuin, ik ben nog op zoek naar (zaad van) de witte  en/ of de heel lichtblauwe voor een donker hoekje. Ik vind de enkele variant op de tweede foto het mooist.

these 2 are the Aquilegia species who are showing off their beauty in the garden, i am still looking for (seed of) the white and/or very pale blue one for a dark corner in the garden.  I like the single one of the second picture the best. 

Dit is een stukje voortuin, eind vorig jaar heb ik hier en daar wat vergeetmenietjes gezaaid, ik denk dat ik volgend jaar een grootverpakking ga halen want ik vind het effect erg leuk.

This is a peace of the frontyard, last year i did scatter some forget me not seed here and there and i think i am gonna buy a huge packet of it  and throw it trough the whole garden cause i like the result very much. 

meestal krijg je ze rond sinterklaas...

maar ik bedoelde een bijzondere muntsoort, deze munt is heerlijk in thee, want het heeft een heerlijke after eight achtige smaak, en ziet er ook nog eens speciaal uit met die donkere stammetjes.

dit (onder) is ook een nieuwe aanwinst, munt met een aardbeien geur, de smaak moet ik nog uitproberen :)

i bought these mints, chocolate mint (upper picture) which tastes like a mix between chocolate and mint (more mint then chocolate is my opinion), and is really nice in tea. It even looks good with those dark stems.


the last picture is the second new member of her majesty's garden, its strawberry mint, it smells like strawberry but i didnt try it in tea,  yet. :) 

in 1 nacht/ in 1 night

gisteren was er nog maar een bloem open van deze clematis sieboldii
vanmorgen kreeg ik dit te zien, mooi!


yesterday there was only one flower open of this clematis sieboldii
this morning i had this view, beautiful!

droogte

woensdag waren er donkere wolken in de lucht (foto vanuit de trein)
wednesday there were some dark clouds in the sky (picture trough the train window)

Maar geen regen, het droge voorjaar heeft veel records gebroken, gelukkig hebben de viooltjes meteen water gekregen toen ik het zag, en staan ze weer fris en fruitig fruitig te violen :)
De natuur is nog steeds erg droog en in natuurgebieden zijn er al brandjes geweest en is de brandweer extra alert op vuurtjes.



But no rain did fell out of them, the dry spring has broke many records. Luckily the viola's emediatly got some water when i did see their dryeness, and now they are blooming niclely again like nothing happened :)

Nature is still very dry, and some nature areas even caught fire, the firemen are very alert on fires in nature right now.

ter nagedachtenis/ in remembrance

Deze roos is ter herinnering aan een hele aardige vrouw, haar blog was een van de blogs die mij inspireerden zelf ook te gaan schrijven. Bijna elke dag schreef ze iets, en dat was altijd een mooi stukje met prachtige foto's.

Afgelopen zondag is ze onverwachts op 51 jarige leeftijd overleden.

Speciaal voor Ina, een witte roos ter nagedachtenis.

Mijn condoleances aan haar familie.

This rose is in memory of a very kind blogger, her blog was one of the blogs who inspired me to start my own one. Almost every day she wrote an article, and it was always a nice article, with beautiful pictures.

Last sunday she unexpectedly passed away at the age of 51. 

This white rose is specially for Ina, for remembrance.
